Sausage, Pepper & Onions on the Weber

This Q3000 Weber is awesome. I cooked up a bunch of sausage with a side of peppers and onions. The sausages themselves were the hot Italian variety which I purchased at Costco.

Five of the Best Small Gas Grills Under $350

!±8± Five of the Best Small Gas Grills Under 0

Given a choice, every man I know would want nothing less than a built-in grill, complete with a cooking island in the backyard. However, not all of us can afford such luxuries. Sometimes you may not have the budget for a big grill, sometimes the space may be a constraint, while sometimes you may just want something small enough to fit on a RV or boat. But small doesn't have to imply inferior; rather, as the small gas grills on this list prove, small can still be very mighty.

Best Small Gas Grills Under 0

1. Weber Q300
Any Weber grill comes with a distinct pedigree, and the Q300 definitely lives up to the manufacturer's reputation. A small, versatile gas grill that doesn't compromise on power, the Weber Q300 delivers a total of 21,700 BTUs of heat per hour through its 2 stainless steel burners, and offers a generous 393 square inches of cooking space. Fine-tuning the temperature is extremely easy, and nifty features like a built-in lid thermometer make this one of the best small gas grills you can buy. A weight of just 54.6 lbs further adds to its appeal. The perfect grill for indoor spaces that gives all the power and functionality of a big, 00+ grill.

Price: 9

2. Char Broil Patio Bistro Infrared
This Char Broil model combines the flavor-enhancing design of a charcoal grill with the ease of a gas grill. Though it features a single burner, it delivers 12,000 BTUs of heat per hour. Although it looks small, it still offers over 320 sq. inches of grill area. Lighting up the grill is easy with the built-in electronic ignition, and if you are so inclined, you can even drop in some wood-chips on the cooking grate to add instant smoky flavor. At just 48 lbs, it's easy to take it along on a picnic. Hardcore BBQers might be a bit disappointed with its power output, however.

Price: 9

3. Char Broil Quantum Infrared Urban
Char Broil's "Urban" gas grill range targets the BBQer who doesn't have the luxury of a big backyard and jams in all the power of a big grill into a neat little package. Small but powerful, this grill is ideal for compact spaces. Savor the joys of barbecuing right in your patio and balcony with this small gas grill that features 320 sq. inches of cooking space and an easy to use electronic ignition. For an "urban" grill, you can't really get better than this Char Broil model.

Price: 9

4. Coleman Road Trip LXE
What the LXE lacks in power, it makes up for in portability. Lugging this small gas grill around is effortlessly easy, thanks to its low weight of 60 lbs and compact, collapsible design. With 2 burners, each delivering 10,000 BTUs of power, you won't miss out on power either. If you'd like a gas grill that can be dragged along on a camping trip or stored on board a boat, then you should look no further than this Coleman.

Price: 159.99

5. Weber Q100
The Weber Q100 is about as small and portable as they come. Weighing less than 30 pounds and measuring just 16 x 27 x 23.5 inches (with lid open), this is the 'little gas grill that could'. With a solitary 8,500 BTU steel burner, it may not be powerful enough to satiate the hardcore griller, but is good enough for the average user. If you prize portability and ease of use over power, then this is the grill for you.

A Review of the WEBER Q320 Portable Propane BBQ - Is This the Best Q Series Weber Yet?

!±8± A Review of the WEBER Q320 Portable Propane BBQ - Is This the Best Q Series Weber Yet?

Welcome to the review of the latest flagship model in the Weber Q Range, the Q320 replacing the very good Q300 at the top of the Weber tree.  To beat the Q300 was going to take some serious tweaking of what is a fantastic product, but first let us give you some background on the Q Series and where it is coming from. The Q's are aimed at the sector of the market which dotes on style, functionality, value for money, and above all performance - on all of these points any of the Q series deliver. Good looking, practical, fantastically solid construction, and above all, capable of stunning results with a little effort.

The Q range starts at the smaller end of the scale with the Q100, nicknamed the "Baby Q", but don't be fooled by the name as the Baby Q is a seriously capable little BBQ - perfect for the smaller family and occasional entertaining. Moving on comes the Q120, Q200, Q220, Q300, each iteration growing in size and features until we end up with the Q320, the model which we are reviewing here.

Given the popularity of the Q300 it shouldn't come as a big surprise that the Q320 shares a lot of the key features, a super powerful 21,700 BTU burner, enamel/porcelain covered cast iron griddle plates, folding work tables at either end, a permanently attached cart, thermometer and tools hooks. Both also share a 5 year limited warranty, and both offer instant start ignition, the Q320 being electronic

So what does the Q320 offer for the extra bucks? Well for starters the cooking area is significantly larger at 462sq inches (over 393sq inches on the Q300 - the additional space made up of a warming rack mentioned below), and increase of almost 20%, meaning for entertaining, a LOT more space for cooking and keeping food warm. The most salient addition is the new warming rack, there to keep food warm when cooked - this alone is worth the small premium over the Q300, and I am sure will be a must have addition.

Construction is very solid - the word portable could be misconstrued here, the quality materials and associated weight means the likelihood of packing the Q320 into the car and eating away from home are unlikely, however the materials used are top notch cast aluminum and resin for the grill and cart respectively - durability shouldn't be an issue, and the 5 year guarantee should further ease any fears - it is a Weber after all!

So, how does it perform? In true Weber style, food is succulent, grill and sear marks are good, and from the steaks and burgers we tried over last weekend, a lovely smoky flavor. Cleaning is easy with the porcelain covered grills, and for a modest additional cost there is an optional cover which is highly recommended.

So what is the verdict? I think undoubtedly the best Weber Q barbeque yet, smart, functional, some nice premium tweaks like the warmer and instant lighting. So for everything from dinner for two through to serious entertaining the Weber Q320 is a resounding success.

Weber Grills - The Grandaddy of Modern Grilling

!±8± Weber Grills - The Grandaddy of Modern Grilling

Weber Grills are at the heart of the outdoor grilling revolution that happened when World War II ended. George Stephen Sr., at the time was residing in Mount Prospect, IL., was irritated over combating the elements when trying to do grilling at his home in an open brazier style.

He decided to solve this situation in a big way. Now this is history... His first solution was quite easily accomplished due to the fact that he was employed by Weber Brothers Metal Works, which was a metal fabricating company. He made a round hood by cutting a buoy into halves that was made of metal, and viola he actually invented his first version of the kettle grill.

After that was done, all it took was some marketing for this different type of grill, which quickly became popular. It was so popular that the company's name became the Weber-Stephens Products Company. Then in just a matter of years, George Stephens bought the company to become the only owner.

The American grill masters now had a method of shielding their burgers and steaks from the rain and wind, and they could also seal in the moisture and a new smoky taste. The consumers must have loved the difference of this Weber grills, which happened to cost about in the beginning of the 1950s, this at a time when the other grills for open brazier only cost around . This probably became a status symbol too, the same as now with the large cookers that are bought for family grilling.

Weber Kettle Grill started spreading across the country past the Midwest when the retailers started selling it throughout this country. The age of the backyard covered grill had started and there was no stopping it.

The Weber Grill that is Best for You

Weber produces a great product for even the beginner grill masters, a top quality grill for the people that desire the high-end type grills. Many of the companies trying to get the business as far as barbecue grills go do not make a quality product on the same level as the Weber grill is.

Weber Spirit number E310 Gas Grill: some of the grills I have owned have literally fallen apart in a short time; sometimes it is just the starting mechanism that goes. Many individuals do not figure in the replacement cost for the cheap grills every so many years.

Search for a grill that last several years longer. Yes you'll spend a bit more money on it, but with them lasting longer you will still be getting off cheaper in the long haul. This E310 is a good example of a simple grill that is good quality and also lasts many years. It is large enough to use even for a large family. So if you are trying to buy a grill on a budget you may need to see this product of quality because it will last, you should at least have it on your list to look at. Weber's low end line of grills will stand up against most of the other comparable products of the different competing brands. Be sure to read the reviews from consumers about the product line that Weber has because there are a lot of facts that figure in even what temperature zone you dwell in.

Weber Genesis number E310 Gas Grill: Are you needing a more improved grill? The Genesis line winds up being a good mid level grill compared to the low end Spirit and the higher end Summit grills go.

Again you're purchasing a grill may last as long as 10 years, so don't be dismayed about the little bit higher cost over the competitors. You do not have to only take my word for this. The reviews we have from consumers on Weber grills is actually where you need to focus since those people have spent the money and bought the products from Weber. You can make an educated decision by reading their experiences.

Weber Summit number S-450 Natural Gas type grill: If you want to be top (hot) dog griller on your block, this Summit grill is the one you want to buy. The S-650, which has 6 burners, or the S-450, which has 4 burners, are the absolute best that Weber offers. With respect to the other high-end grills out there, finding parts and accessories for Weber products, if you should ever need a part, is much easier because of the number of sales and service outlets.

When you're able to budget for a more expensive grill, it's also worth looking at what the competition is offering. Almost all high end grills are made with high quality materials. But these pricier grills have all sorts of neat gadgets for you to play with. The joy of competition is that there are always new twists to the common grill.

Purchasing a Weber Grill

There truly are very few complaints on the Weber grills. They make a high quality product and Weber is a very reputable company. All things taken into consideration, this grandfather of the outdoor cooking experience most likely manufactures the most affordable, highest quality options, grill wise, being made.

You can buy one of these grills so many places, from the online stores to the hardware stores. Just choose your model. I like shopping online more because I get a better selection. I'll leave it up to you though where you want to buy.

Weber Q300 Grill Review

!±8± Weber Q300 Grill Review

Wherever you are in the world there's always the opportunity to enjoy al fresco dining. This Weber Q300 Gas Grill has top-end features, is competitively priced and is superbly rated by so many users, it is definitely up there with the best of them, and is an extremely popular choice.

Weber Q300 Grill - Our Opinion:

Well the most obvious point to start with our opinion is that how other users feel it works for them This is the really impressive point here, because of the 121 people on Amazon who have reviewed this product, 115 of them gave it 4* and above, actually 97 of them gave it the full 5* rating so that is a great start.

The cook performance of this Weber Q300 Gas Grill is highly regarded, it cooks evenly and well. Its build quality and compactness is a plus also because it does not take up huge amounts of space, however this does no mean that it is small or inadequate....definitely not!

The cooking ability and potential of the Weber Q300 Grill is wide and varied, from the patio of a condo cooking a burger to a full course meal including desert too, infact one person reports that they cooked for a party of 25 people from it! There is no real negative trends here, a couple of people would like to have the smoky taste of a real BBQ on their food, but that is no fault of this grill. Another had a one arrive with a dent and paint missing, again not the fault of the grill. The ignite button stuck on a couple, but when you actually look at the reviews on this grill they really are truly impressive.

Weber Q300 Grill Features:

The Weber Q300 Gas Grill has stunningly great features. These include dual stainless-steel burners, with cast-iron cooking grates with porcelain enamelling, it does the job so well it works like a grill; double the size. Durable cast-aluminum body and lid with a glass-reinforced nylon frame; polyethylene side tables support condiments and tool hooks

The outer casing is constructed from durable cast-aluminum, the frame is made from heat and moisture resistant glass-reinforced nylon. On either side of the grill are polythene side tables. They can be folded down, or when erected in position offers an extra preparation area. You even have a place to put your BBQ tools, there are hooks supplied on the frame to hang your tongs and forks from, so you can have more hands free.

The Weber Q300 has a great size to efficiency cook ratio, so is a top performer. When you are ready to get started, just push the one-touch ignition button to ignite, this fires up the stainless-steel burners. You can regulate your cook temperature by monitoring the useful built in thermometer on the lid and adjusting the burners' output accordingly.

Because of the great design features of the Weber Q300 Grill, the meat cooks evenly across the burners, so you can really get creative with a medium size turkey, a great bit of steak, or simple hot dogs and burgers! The cooking grates will resist being warped by the heat, and are rust resistant too, so this will help with to make the clean up easier, the greasy waste juices are collected in the drip tray underneath too.
